A little about me
Michael Linton
Colombian American. Florida raised.
Always learning.
I’m an MBA student at Harvard Business School and a Cornell University graduate. My experience spans pharmaceuticals, technology, and consulting. I’m interested in how these fields can expand access to healthcare, education, and opportunity.
01 / BACKGROUNDRoots & education.
I grew up in Middleburg, Florida, and graduated from Ridgeview High School in 2019, where I was captain of the swim team. I went on to Cornell University, graduating in 2023 with a degree in Applied Economics and Management. I’m now pursuing my MBA at Harvard Business School.
02 / EXPERIENCEA perspective across industries.
My professional experience spans the pharmaceutical, technology, and consulting industries. Most recently, I worked in Pfizer’s commercial organization, helping improve market access to therapeutics.
During my Pfizer internship, I worked with a team supporting gene therapy launches. That experience helped clarify my interest in healthcare and in helping people live fuller lives.
Professional background on LinkedIn ↗03 / PURPOSEWhat drives me.
Health makes so much else possible. I care about improving access to healthcare, particularly in underserved communities, and helping people benefit from advances in medicine. I want to use business, technology, and education to help close gaps in care so more people can live fuller lives.
As an Eagle Scout, I still carry my scoutmaster’s advice: “Make a better version of yourself every day.” Over time, that has come to mean more than personal progress. It means becoming better able to help others—through mentorship, sharing knowledge, and everyday acts of service.
04 / COMMUNITY & INTERESTSConnected to my roots.
My mother, a Colombian immigrant, instilled in me the value of hard work and showed me what it means to keep giving back to the communities we’re part of. Her example continues to shape how I think about my own growth and responsibilities.
I’ve stayed connected to my heritage through PorColombia and the Association of Latino Professionals for America. Mentoring new leaders within ALPFA has been one way I’ve put those values into practice.
My interest in community well-being also extends to affordable housing. I’m involved in development projects in the Bogota Savanna, connecting that interest with my Colombian roots.
05 / SELECTED WRITINGNotes along the way.
06 / PASSIONSHealth, travel & curiosity.
My passion for health extends beyond my work. Staying active and taking on new challenges are part of how I put that passion into practice—from captaining Ridgeview’s swim team to running races, strength training, and competing in HYROX.
It started in the pool.
SWIMMING · 2015–2018As captain of Ridgeview High School’s swim team, I competed in breaststroke, freestyle, and relays. Those seasons were the beginning of a lasting interest in sport.
From laps to miles.
RUNNING · 2020–2024Running has taken me from local 5Ks in Florida and Pennsylvania to half marathons in Philadelphia and Bogotá. In June 2024, I completed the Half Sauer Half Kraut Marathon in Philadelphia’s Pennypack Park.

TRAVEL / A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE
Learning from the world.
Travel is one of my favorite ways to learn. I appreciate the chance to experience other cultures, listen to different perspectives, and come home with a broader understanding of the world.
